Easy Chicken Parmesan (30-minute meal)
This easy chicken parmesan recipe only takes 30 minutes to make, and it is a homemade recreation of the classic Italian dish. The breaded chicken breasts are fried until golden brown, topped with your favorite marinara sauce and cheese, and then baked until the cheese is melted, and the top is golden brown. This Chicken parm is perfect for a weeknight dinner as it only calls for a handful of ingredients.

- 4 thin-sliced boneless, skinless chicken breasts (1/2-inch thick) or 4 regular chicken breasts, but pounded to desired thickness (see ingredients lists above)
- 1 cup marinara sauce (use as much or as little as you like)
- 2 tablespoons sour cream
- 1 cup shredded provolone or parmesan cheese (or a combination of both)
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- salt and pepper to taste
- 3 tablespoons olive oil more if needed
Preheat oven to 400 F degrees.
Start by patting dry the chicken. If not using thin-sliced chicken breasts, place a piece of chicken between 2 large pieces of plastic wrap. Pound the chicken with a rolling pin or a mallet until the chicken is about 1/2 inch thick.
Season the chicken cutlets with salt, paprika, and freshly ground black pepper. Brush chicken all over with the sour cream.
In a shallow dish, combine the breadcrumbs and the Italian seasoning.
Press the chicken breasts into the breadcrumb mixture, coating all over.
Heat oil in a large frying pan. Add the coated chicken to the pan and cook until the crust is golden brown on both sides, 3-5 minutes per side.
Transfer the cooked chicken to a foil-lined baking sheet pan. Top each slice of chicken with marinara sauce. Use as much or as little as you like. Then sprinkle with the shredded cheese. Bake in the oven until the cheese is melted and begins to brown.
